Gentherm’s ClimateSense®: Winner of the 2024 BIG Innovation Award

Gentherm, a global leader in innovative thermal management and pneumatic comfort technologies, has won the 2024 BIG Innovation Award for its ClimateSense Technology. ClimateSense is an intelligent automotive microclimate comfort solution that provides personalized comfort for each occupant while reducing energy consumption. It seamlessly integrates into existing vehicle architectures and uses convective and conductive heating and cooling, as well as radiative heating, to optimize comfort.

This technology has been recognized for its ability to deliver energy savings of up to 50 to 69 percent in cold-weather testing and 34 percent in hot weather testing when compared to using only the existing central HVAC system. The ClimateSense Technology has already won the 2023 Reuters D.R.I.V.E Honour in the ‘Reducing Emissions’ category and has been named a finalist for the 2023 Automotive News PACE Awards.

The Business Intelligence Group, the organization behind the BIG Innovation Award, evaluated and judged the innovative technologies submitted by various organizations. ClimateSense stood out as a winner of this prestigious award.
