The Science & Technology Directorate (S&T) conducted two field demonstrations to assess cutting-edge counter-drone technology solutions. The first demonstration, held in North Dakota, focused on kinetic mitigation systems to physically alter or destroy drones. The second demonstration, in Oklahoma, evaluated non-kinetic solutions for detecting and countering drone swarms. These events brought together government, academia, and industry to address the growing threat of malicious drone use. The findings from these demonstrations will inform future testing and investments in counter-drone technologies to safeguard national security.
